Earth Overshoot Day Swindle

Europe and North America:
  1. Export more agricultural products then import. And could produce even more.
  2. Have constantly growing forest coverage (since mid 19th century).
  3. Have more agricultural surface than they need. Governments pay farmers not to produce.
  4. Have reasonable population density.
  5. Have globally enough water (Europe) or have capacity to produce water by desalination (USA) - procedure already matured by Israel.
So in most parameters, Europe and USA are already able to support its own population by their proper resources. Despite all that, those regions are denounce by GFN as the most unsustainable. At the same time, many countries which are already now not able to feed its own population are classified as sustainable. It really doesn't sound consistent, does it ?
