Poprvé po dlouhé době dává naivní sigmoidní fit nakažených v Česku pozitivní výsledek, 3 dny za kulminací, předpokládaný koncový počet nakažených bude skoro 800 tisíc.

Kulminace počtu obětí by měla nastat zhruba za týden, celkově bude skoro 15 tisíc obětí.

Why, after 4 years of the childish, narcissist and chaotic president, after a massive support of almost all major media, they have won by nearly the smallest possible margin - and not only the Presidency, but the Senate and the House as well (and they may still lose them). And why they have lost in all 'minority' groups (blacks, latinos, women) in comparison with the elections 2016, while they are pretending to represent exactly those people.

How to use Covid to measure Meteo

The graph shows the number of days needed to double the number of infected people (with the current infection evolution). Clearly, the higher, the better. 

During the summer, the doubling delay was growing almost linearly, which was very good. In September, in most European countries, the situation rapidly deteriorated. The weather was very cold. About a week ago, the temperature started to go up - and the doubling delay quickly followed. It will be interesting to see what happens when weather becomes cold again.

(The cause of much worse evolution in Czechia has probably nothing to do with weather.)

Ono i v zemích, kde vládnou populisti nebo cvoci se většinou vláda upřímně snaží to zvládnout. I takovej Trump nebo Bolsonaro nechce aby mu lidí zbytečně umírali.

Tragédie Česka je v tom, že Babišovi jde hlavně o to, aby na tom on osobně neprodělal (a pokud možno aby na tom vydělal). Důkazem je, že po páteční aféře Prymula odejde a Faltýnek zůstane.

In the same way as we are discussing whether people are dying because of covid or just with covid,

we don't agree whether terrorists kill because of islam or just with islam. 

In fact, the parallel is even deeper: In both cases (covid, islam):

1. One gets infected by longer contact with already infected person.
2. Only a small fraction of infected people turns bad.
3. But even such small number of people creates serious problems.

V čem jsme nejhorší

Graf, který pravděpodobně nejlépe ilustruje, v čem jsme nejhorší. Je na něm vyneseno, za kolik dnů se současný počet obětí zdvojnásobí. Čím větší číslo, tím lépe. Česko je jedinou zemí, kde toto číslo začalo před asi 50 dny dramaticky klesat. Je to samozřejmě ovlivněno tím, že v první vlně jsme byli málo postiženi. Problém je ale v tom, že průběh té první vlny byl do značně míry náhodný, nedalo se s tím moc dělat, a Česko mělo štěstí. Následný vývoj už ale je důsledkem politiky a chování, a tam jsme dramaticky propadli.
