The Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011 caused death of more than 15 000 people. None of them died from radiation. Despite that, Japon has decided to close their nuclear facilities. They have been replaced mostly by coal and gas. Coal is responsible for more than million deaths per year world-wide, not mentioning its significant contribution to CO2 pollution.

We're treading on dangerous ground right now, because of our secrets and our lies. They're practically what define us. When the truth offends, we, we lie and lie until we can no longer remember that it is even there, but it is... still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid. That is how an RBMK nuclear reactor explodes. Lies.

75 years ago, the Allied forces have started the operation that

liberated the half of the Europe from the German Nazism and

protected it against Russian Communism.

The other half of our continent didn't have that chance.

(And no, it was not "the second front". For the allied troops, it was at least the fifth front.)
